Located in Jharkhand, India, Jagriti Vihara works with the community to improve education, health and hygiene, income generation, watershed development, and agriculture development.
Construction for Change has partnered with Jagriti Vihara and Hospital for Hope (HFH) to build a medical clinic that would service a population of over 90,000. The completion of this hospital would eventually provide a much needed health clinic in the area, the ability to improve health and hygiene awareness, a place to train new and current staff members in service related to health issues, and help implement health camps in surrounding villages.
The overall size has not been determined since the project is currently in it’s design phase but it will include 10 beds and enough staff to see 35-50 people a day. A good portion of the major health issues in the area surround woman and children. This is a populace that will be the focus of many programs at the new hospital.
